From family tree to hardcover keepsake
Turn everyone they love into storybook characters, with the family details that make the story yours.
Step 1 · Your family
Plant your family tree
Start with the star, your child, then add everyone around them: parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, best friends, teachers, neighbors, pets. Anyone who loves them belongs in the book. Members you invite by email fill out their own page (favorite things, their little world, what they share with your child) and upload their own photos. You can always fill things in for the shy ones.
Step 2 · The magic part
Everyone becomes a character
From one or two photos, each person becomes an illustrated storybook character in the art style you pick. Invited family members can give feedback and request redraws within the limits shown in the character editor. Grandma helps choose Grandma. You hold final approval over the whole cast.
Step 3 · Preview free
The whole book, before you pay
First, choose an original plot inspired by what you've shared: a quest, a surprise in the making, a treasure trail through Grandpa's fishing dock, Auntie's food truck, the cousins' lake. The stories that connect your family can go in too. Pick a writing voice, review the story, then see the illustrated pages in a free watermarked preview. You can edit the text and request picture changes within the available redraw limits. Generation is subject to availability. Nothing prints until you approve your book and place an order.
Step 4 · The keepsake
Hardcover, at your door
A premium square hardcover in your pick of two sizes (Classic 8.5" or Little 7.5"), printed on thick color pages and shipped anywhere in the US. Really big family? The journey splits into a beautiful multi-volume set so nobody gets squeezed out. Grandparents can order their own copies to their own address. As your family grows, you can make an updated edition whenever you're ready.
Quick answers
Do family members need accounts?
Only if they want to fill out their own page. You can add and manage everyone yourself.
What about family members who have passed away?
They can absolutely be in the book. We handle memorial members with gentle, honest language: a page of remembrance, never pretending.
How long does it take?
The time to create your book depends on your family size, the details you add, and generation availability. You review the story and illustrations before ordering. Printing happens after purchase, followed by shipping. The carrier transit estimates shown at checkout exclude printing time; we cannot promise arrival for a particular date.
